TITLE : EXERCISING HABIT AMONG UMP STUDENTS
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the proposed report
UMP students always going to be busy with their study, assignment and projects. About 18 hours per day they spend on those things. This becomes a barrier as why they cannot do other thing like exercise, This situation will expose them to a lot of depressed feeling and health problems. An observation and study on this issue is important as it may create awareness of students and even the whole university on the important of exercise to UMP students.
1.2 Objective(s) of study
To observe exercising habit among UMP students
To create awareness among UMP students on the important of exercise

- Do UMP students exercise?
- How frequent they exercise?
- What types of exercise they do?
- Why they exercise?
- When they exercise?
1.4 Definition of terms
1.4.1 Exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintain physical fitness and overall health. It is preformed for many different reasons and purposes.
1.4.2 Depressed refer to sadness and other related emotions and behaviour. It can be thought as a disease or a syndrome.
1.5 Organization of chapters The chapter 1 is introduction that explains more about background information, objectives of study that meaning what purpose to make the project, research question that meaning to provide the several question and definition of term to clarify ant term. The chapter 2 is literature review. This chapter that explains about introduction to literature reviews and summarizes an article. In literature review that summarizes article about the effect of exercise, the types of exercise and exercise habit. The third chapter is methodology. This chapter divided to three sections which are introduction, participants and data collection instruments. In introduction will explain about method to get the feedback from participants through the question. Section two explains about participants that involve to answer the question include gander, age, and faculty and year. Section 3 mention about data collection instruments that helps to get information. Survey questionnaire will be provided consists about free response, dichotomous, multiple choice, scale and numerical questions.
2.0 REVIEW OF LITERATURE 2.1 EXERCISE – PROMOTING HEALTHY LIFESTYLES IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS.

This article is more to promote exercise among children and adolescents. Both of children and adolescents less active in physical activity. It is mentioned that physical activity or exercise gives a lot of benefits to people especially students whether in schools or colleges. A regular exercise is essential for maintaining good health such as improved cardiovascular fitness, increased bone mass and improved psychological well-being. In addition, a consistent physical activity also prevent students from any chronic disease later in life. At least 60 minutes should be spent daily by students on exercise but majority shown that they fail to make it. In school-based setting like colleges or university is mentioned that physical education programs can be modified to increase the percentage of students who do exercise.

For example exercise can reduce our risk of heart and stroke when we do physical activity such as walking each day. Besides that, doing exercise can also help to reduce high blood pressure. Another benefits of exercise is help improve our cholesterol levels.
2.3 EXERCISE-PROMOTING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WITH PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT PLACES.

c Medical Research Council Epidemiology Unit, Cambridge, United Kingdom This article describes about five recent Dutch studies of the effectiveness of physical activity interventions carried out in diverse settings, general practice, age care facilities and workplace. The stage based physical activity counseling carried out in the
general practice (GP) setting demonstrated did not show any additional effect on physical activity behavior. Besides that, every workplace was effective in increasing physical activity. Next, functional skills setting training alone is the aged care setting which
showed functional improvement. Actually, the aim of this study is to promote earlier return to work among worker with sick and promote consisting of short meetings and exercise to changing their behavior in different places.
3.0 METHODOLOGY
3.1 Data collection method
This study will be conducted in University Malaysia Pahang which involves 60 students of University Malaysia Pahang from any faculty and course. They will be selected randomly.
